I would like to clear the air about “The Moratorium on Raves” which will be discussed in Community and Public Services Committee on Wednesday. Here is a link to the report (Item 6.1) which was completed by City Administration. The numbers provided by the report are concerning. Let me be clear, this is not a ban on raves. I have nothing against the EDM community or raves as a whole. I have concerns with what the numbers are reflecting. The moratorium is not a ban. It is a pause so we can come together and discuss possible solutions to the alarming rates of overdose and sexual assault happening at these events.
